Alex's Graduation

We are so proud that Alex graduated from Giant Steps Autism Preschool! It is hard to leave the warm fuzzy world of preschool and enter Elementary school, but he is so excited for Kindergarten and he has come so far during his 2 years at Giant Steps! This year was the largest ever class graduating from Giant Steps, it was very cool to see all the kids, especially the ones we've known for a while, the progress all the kids have made is incredible!
Here is Alex with his FANTASTIC TEACHERS! They are so incredible
and we owe them so much! Alex really loves all his teachers.
The kids sang a bunch of songs, people don't understand how amazing it is that these Autistic preschool children are able to sit still and sing songs with actions. If Alex hasn't sung the "Slippery Fish" song for you, be sure to ask him next time you see him, it is pretty hillarious!
This is the largest graduating class the program has ever had. With more than 100 kids on the waiting list for 36 spots each year, we feel VERY FORTUNATE to have
been able to have Alex in the program for 2 years!
Alex was getting bored waiting for his turn to get his diploma, but he still sat still
and quiet and waited his turn- I know, I am amazed too!
Here is Alex with his teacher, Mrs. Janeen, receiving his diploma and officially graduating- I made it through the whole program without crying, I was quite proud of myself!
