Alex was awarded student of the month at his elementary school! It was such a fun thing to see, he had no idea that he was getting the award, so when Wes and I showed up at school he just thought we were there to visit. He got Wesley a seat in the assembly with his class and they sat there and watched the student council do their songs and skits. Then the principal got up and told how they choose the Student of the month based on Academic performance, citizenship and attendance, then Alex was the first name they called (since he's in Kindergarten). Alex jumped up with a huge grin on his face and exclaimed, "That's me!" and ran up to claim his prizes. He was so proud standing up on the stage while they read the other student's names.
