Autism Walk

The Giant Steps Team!!!

Last Saturday was the Walk for Autism up at Cottonwood High School. We had never done anything like this before, so weren't sure what to expect... it was great! They had tons of fun games for the boys, big bounce houses and blow up slides, carnival games, treats and snacks, it was a wonderland of happiness. Alex was pretty nervous during the walk because there were so many people and so much commotion around him. But we were able to avoid any major meltdowns, and overall had a wonderful time!

Mommy and Alex, taking our time, looking at everything except the crowds of people...

Wes got tired and decided to hitch a ride with Grandma Allred.

We were so glad the Grandma $, Ashley and Tyler could make it!

The Giant Steps teachers put together a booth with fun games and prizes, Wes loved the ring toss, it was so easy...no one told him you're supposed to stand behind the line.

Both the boys took a turn throwing the big football, Wes could hardly huck it far enough to get the prize, but the judges fudged a little for him and gave him a prize anyway. Alex is such a natural athlete and made it into the target on the first try and won a football!

Such fun!
