The scene opens with Alex and Wes watching the Pokemon movie they picked out at Hollywood Video. I'm frantically studying for finals, so I'm not paying particular attention to them...
Wesley: Oh No! The pokemon are loosing...
Alex: Come on, lets help them!
Wes: We need to go inside the tv and help them so they will win
They spend the next minute or so trying to figure out how they will get inside the tv to help save to Pokemon... Finally, they come up with the perfect solution!
Alex: Lets ask Jesus to help us get insde the tv!!!
Wes: Yeah! then the Pokemon will win!!!
They both kneel down and Alex is about to offer the prayer to transport him and his brother into the tv to save the Pokemon.
Now, as a mother, I have to say how very proud I am of my boys asking Jesus to help them when they have a problem. But on the other hand, I couldn't just stand there as their faith is crushed by asking for something that is not possible. I had to figure out how to explain to them that Jesus, although I'm sure he would like to, can't put them in the tv because inside the tv is just pretend. We discussed this for a moment and finally we decided that, instead of Alex and Wes venturing into the television, they would just say a prayer to ask Jesus to help the Pokemon win their battle. The scene fades out with Alex offering a beautiful prayer, begging that the Pokemon will be ok and come out on top.
Lo and behole, within a few minutes, the Pokemon won the battle and everyone was happy!
Oh the things little boys do....

How precious! That just goes to show what a great mom you are that your boys would think to pray!
That is awesome that they thought of Jesus and not some other superhero. You need to give me some tips because our FHE lessons dont seem to be sinking in!
You must be such a wonderful mother and have taught your boys very well if that was their first instinct! It was great to get a comment from you. Isn't this whole blogging thing crazy? I have been able to catch up on so many old friends lives...
Your boys are very adorable and sound like so much fun. I'll bet being a mother to an autistic child can be very challenging, but hopefully so rewarding as well. I'm not sure if you know, but my oldest brother is autistic, so I can relate to some of your stories about him. It definitely takes someone special to raise these special little spirits of our Heavenly Father.
It is completely hilarious that you commented on my blog, because just last night I had a dream that I ran into you and Tiffany Jensen(not sure of her married name), and you got mad at me because we had not kept in touch since high school! Then I checked my blog today and saw your comment...weird. I actually saw you and Tiffany's links on Brooke's blog as well, so I'm sure thats where my dream came from, but what are the odds that you would comment at the same exact time? Anyway--this was a very long comment, sorry, but it was good to hear from you and I'll look forward to checking in on your family more often!
What a great story to start my day! I hope all is well. Good luck with finals!
Kelsey: What a cute story! I'm sure it made you feel good to know your boys are actually applying things you've taught them. It's great to see you and your cute fam. Your boys are cute and fun. Blogs are such a great way to stay in contact with old friends. Thanks for finding me.
Kelsey,
I have loved getting the update on your family. I can tell you are an amazing mom and I feel like such a novice and a wimp compared to what you handle as a mother. Thanks for the example. Thank you also for bringing us back in touch through blogging! I'm adding you on!
