Christmas and Such

I am posting a few of our pictures from Christmas and some of the other happenings of December. We didn't do much since it's still not a good idea to take Adam out and I haven't felt much like doing anything except cuddle with the baby. I thought I'd better post a few more pictures before I start school again next week and don't have time to do anything else...

First of course, we need to show off our amazing boys!

Mike loved this outfit, he thought it looked like what Rocky wore for training,

so it made us laugh.

Dana and Thomas flew out from Virginia for Christmas. The boys absolutley LOVE Thomas and Dana and it was super fun to get to hang out, even though the visit wasn't as long as we would have liked. Drew and Ariel came up from St. George too, but all the picutres of them are on Drew's camera...

Naturally, Adam played the part of the Baby Jesus in the Dollar family nativity on Christmas Eve. Wes was a sheapherd and Alex was a wise man.

Here are some pictures of our Christmas. I squirrelled away money for months to save up to buy Mike a Nokia N810, it's a computer gadget he has been wanting for ages, it was so great! And I was so proud of myself for pulling it off!

We all had a wonderful, relaxing Christmas with family, and of course, way too many toys!

Christmas was just exhausting for Adam! LOL, he slept through the whole thing.

Thanks for visiting us! Since we don't see many of you often, here is a brief update:

Mike works as for a company in Springville as a Software QA Engineer Lead- it's hard to believe he's been with them for almost four years! He has been working really hard studying all kinds of programming languages and such, he is always learning and challenging himself. He is an amazing Primary teacher, he team teaches the CTR 5 class and Wes is happy to be in his Dad's class.

I am the luckiest wife and mom around, my boys are all amazing (all 4 of them, lol). With all the "boy energy" around I have to try to compensate by doing things like making our blog pink or flowery-lol. But they all do treat me like a princess, and, like I said, I'm the luckiest girl in the world! I am having an amazing time being a full time mom and working on my cookbooks on the side- go check out my cooking blog if you have a minute. I just finished up the season on a Women's Softball team and had the time of my life, it has been a long time since I've played an organized sport, I'm hooked again now! I just got called to the Relief Society presidency and am helping on the PTA board, I'm looking forward to all the adventures...at least I never get bored!

Alex is 7 and in second grade this year. He loves school and is doing soooo well academically, he's the kids everyone asks for help on the lessons. We are so excited that he's making friends and starting to be more interested in social things. Alex loves all things sports, swiming, baseball, soccer- he gets super intense about the rules and winning, but he's getting better at good sportsmanship. He will just drop and start "exercising" all the time, its great!

Wesley is almost 6, and in Kindergarten. We call him our crazy man because he is so full of energy no one can keep up with him. He is too big for his britches sometimes and wants to do everything his big brother does. He is growing into such a little man with very strong opinions and tons of questions about everything. Wesley is a thinker, he amazes me with the complex things he thinks through, comes up with his own conclusion and solves the problem in a creative way-just like his dad. He does enjoy playing sports with his brother, but is more into the running around and expending energy than the actual rules and purpose of the game- he is fun to watch though!

Adam is one and a half, I can hardly believe it! He has been such a blessing for us- his brothers shower him with love and attention. We just about lost him to a sever infection in the spring and it set him back quite a bit. He is strong and healthy now, although a little small and still trying to catch up developmentally. He learns new words and signs every day though and spends every minute trying to keep up with his brothers, he can climb any barrier we use to keep him contained, and is mastering the stairs and is getting more sure on his feet. He is developing his own distinct personality and starting to show strong preferences and opinions, he is so handsome he catches everyone's eye!
