Halloween Fun

I'm going to be honest here, I think Halloween is lame- I strongly dislike (we don't say hate in this house lol) all the creepy things, all the scary things all the blood, gore and dark things. My kids have been having nightmares for a couple weeks from all the scary decorations and commercials. Although I don't like Halloween, my kids love dressing up and all the candy, so for them, I try to tolerate this pointless, lame holiday!

Here is the whole fam, Mike had to work all day, but he met us at Grandpa and Grandma Dollar's house to show off the boy's costumes.

While Mike was at work I took the boys up to Gillman's for pumpkin carving and trunk or treating.

Here's Adam and Uncle Brian- Adam was loving all the attention!

Yep, more people doting on Adam- he was so happy to snuggle with Aunt Vikki
and play with Justin.

From Left to Right, Adam, Justin, Jake, Wesley and Alex.
Wesley only wore his mask for a few minutes, it made it difficult for him to see, so I had him hold it up so I could take a picture. There was another little boy at Trunk or Treating with the exact same costume and the same color hair- it was kind of funny

Alex was a vampire, not Dracula, just a vampire- if you called him Dracula he would correct you- trust me, I know! LOL

Alex was so interested in this monster that he went up and pinched his cheeks- it was hilarious!

Adam wasn't very impressed with the Trunk or Treating,
he preferred to hang with Grandpa Ellis and try to figure out how to get the
candy out of the paper.

It was so bright that some of my pictures didn't turn out great- but here is Jesse and Wesley trying to see how much candy they could collect
(can you see that Jesse was "smarty pants" it was so funny!).

Jade spent most of the time handing out candy, Wes wanted to hang with him for a while when his bag go too heavy because he had collected so much candy.

Lots of the people decorated their cars for the Trunk or Treating, Alex was particularly excited about this giant spider... eeeewww

Adam was annoyed every time we put on his giraffe hood,
but we wanted to at least get a few pictures.

Here we are carving pumpkins, it was quite an adventure! Adam was super happy to just hang out in his high chair, with his snacks and watch all the excitement.

Dad takes his pumpkin carving pretty seriously-lol

This is what the pumpkins looked like pre-carving

Eeeww, pumpkin guts! We had quite a time trying to get the boys to clean out the pumpkins, they didn't want to touch the gooey stuff inside.

Our masterpieces
with secret initials on the backs

oooh, spooky!
Even though its a lame holiday, we still had a pretty great time!
